7-Day Bhutan Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Bagdogra to Phuentsholing

  • Pick up from Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing.
  • Meet and greet on arrival. Explore the local surroundings.
  • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu – En Route Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, process permits and drive to Thimphu.
  • Visit Kharbandi Gompa & Milarepa Lhakhang.
  • Enjoy spectacular mountain views via Gedu (9,000 ft).
  • Stop at Wankha Waterfalls for a photo session.
  • Arrive in Thimphu and check in at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu – Dochula – Punakha – Thimphu

  • Morning drive to Dochula Pass (3,150m) for stunning Himalayan views.
  • Visit Chimi Lhakhang, Pho Chu & Mo Chu Rivers, Punakha Dzong, and the Suspension Bridge.
  • Return to Thimphu and overnight stay.

Day 4: Thimphu to Paro – Local Sightseeing

  • Visit Handicraft Emporium, Simply Bhutan, Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point & Takin Reserve Centre.
  • Afternoon transfer to Paro via Chuzom, enjoying views of Wangchu River and Tachogang Temple.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 5: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Trekking

  • Morning trek to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery) – a 6-hour round-trip hike.
  • Enjoy breathtaking views of the monastery perched on a cliff.
  • Return to Paro and overnight stay.

Day 6: Paro to Phuentsholing – Local Sightseeing

  • Visit Nya Mey Zam Bridge, Rinpung Dzong, National Museum, and Kichu Lhakhang.
  • Afternoon transfer to Phuentsholing.
  • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 7: Departure – Phuentsholing to Bagdogra
